So I saw this post linked from another post, and I loved the fandom classification system so much that I had to make my own post. Sometimes I have difficulty communicating to people how me "being in" Teen Wolf fandom differs from how I'm in, say, the Oxenfree fandom. (also my intro fandom page is much out of date.... oops.)

Anyway, I thought this would be fun! Here goes.

Fandoms for which I genuinely like the source material, and would enjoy it and seek it out whether there were fanworks or not: Primordia, Oxenfree, The Goblin Emperor, A Memory Called Empire, ERASED, Natsume's Book of Friends, all Tamora Pierce works, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Oofuri, Run With the Wind, The Magnus Archives

Fandoms where the source material is entertaining, but fanworks add something significant to my engagement with it: Boku no Hero Academia, Sherlock Holmes stories, Star Trek (TOS and Reboot), Star Wars, Yuuri on Ice, Haikyuu, Treasure Planet, All for the Game, Welcome to Night Vale, Pokemon, Hannibal

Fandoms where I really can't take the source material very seriously except as a kit that fans will take apart and reassemble into something that I love: Teen Wolf, Harry Potter franchise, The Hobbit, Marvel, The Flash, Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and XV

Fandoms where I really dislike the source material but I actively seek out and enjoy the fanworks: Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Naruto

This was a pretty fun exercise! It's interesting - I think I engage mostly with fandoms that fall into categories two and three, and then occasionally get really sucked into a fandom in category four or one. Also, things in category four I got into through a favorite author's work and then realized that I *really* couldn't watch the show.

Anyway, this was fun to think about it, so if any of you want to do it, you should! I'd be interested in seeing other people's lists.

I finished A Memory of Empire by Arkady Martine and it struck me as deeply as few things have. I have a lot of thoughts about it - its structure and its poetry and its themes - but I can't articulate my feelings fully right now.

Instead I wrote a fic for it - archiveofourown.org/works/20656448.

If you also have feelings about this book, please comment and talk to me about them. I am still in the stage of swimming around in all the beautiful feels but I'd love to discuss.

Oh no! Due to an ill-timed prank, the OWL results have gotten all messed up! Somehow, the unfortunate combination of a Confundus charm, a Befuddlement Draught, and sixteen ice mice has made it so that the only way to figure out the scores of six students' Potions OWL is to use some convoluted logic to match the names to their correct grades. Each of the students (three are male, three are female, and one of the girls is named Cathy) received a grade on the Potions OWL (O, EE, A, P, D, T -- O, EE, and A is passing). Also, each belongs to one of the Hogwarts houses (Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw), is taking two out of a possible five elective courses (Arithmancy, Care of Magical Creatures, Divination, Muggle Studies, Ancient Runes), is of a certain ancestry (pureblood, halfblood, and muggleborn), and is dating one of the other students. Those details don't really matter though - all this office cares about is their score on the Potions OWL!

1. Every student received a different letter grade.

2. The six students are, in no particular order: the student who received an O, a student in Hufflepuff, a student taking both Care and Muggle Studies, the student dating Emily, a pureblood, and Bertrand.

3. One of the two pureblood students is in Slytherin.

4. No one taking Divination passed their Potions OWL.

5. Abigail is not a Hufflepuff, but her girlfriend is.

6. No one is taking the same combination of elective courses.

7. In the two houses that have two members, one passed and one failed.

8. No pureblood student is taking muggle studies.

9. The Ravenclaw student got a Troll on the OWL.

11. Ferdinand's girlfriend got an A on the Potions OWL.

12. The two highest performing students on the Potions OWL are the two halfblood students.

13. Everyone who passed the Potions OWL is taking Arithmancy.

14. Daniel's boyfriend failed Muggle Studies, but passed his Potions OWL.

15. Two students are taking Divination.

16. A muggleborn has a Dreadful on the OWL.

17. The lone Gryffindor is a pureblood.

18. No couple shares any of their elective courses.

19. Both Hufflepuff students are taking Care.

20. Emily is dating a student who is taking divination.

Answers in the comments!

 Dear Writer,

Thanks so much for writing for me! I love worldbuilding so much, so I'm going to be thrilled at whatever you create! The prompts below are just some guidelines if you need them - but I'll be happy with whatever delicious worldbuilding you give me!

I love both fanfic and whatever in-universe meta you want to do - letters, reports, transcripts, policy statements, research notes - go wild my dude.

Just some general DNWs: Non-con, hate sex, infidelity, romantic jealousy, abusive f/f relationships, graphic mutilation/eye horror/hand horror/body horror with a living, aware person (corpse mutilation is fine and zombie mutilation is fine), Character-bashing (character-critical is great, but no bashing please).

And for this exchange, I would prefer if ships are kept to a minimum, although imply or include whichever you like, especially queer relationships. I'm not going to make it a DNW since it may enhance the worldbuilding in some cases.

Requested fandoms (All fanfic or In-Universe Meta):

Harry Potter (Wizarding World (No Pottermore)) )

Naruto (No Boruto) )

Primordia )Animal Crossing )

Boku No Hero )

Most of all, I hope you have fun writing the story! If you do, then I'll have fun reading it!
